Birchbox June 2014

I finally gave in and subscribed to Birchbox, after another disappointing Glossybox I took the plunge and subscribed to Birchbox after an amazing looking June box. It is probably one of the best beauty boxes I have ever received. The theme this month from Birchbox is based on the World Cup and contains beauty hero's from around the world.

Birchbox June 2014 (£10 per month plus £2.95 p+p)

Beauty Blender (£26)
I think I actually squealed a little bit when I opened my box to find a beauty blender. I picked up one in the States last October and after using it most days since its starting to see the end so getting one in this months Birchbox was awesome. The solid cleanser that comes with it is super exciting to see if it will work better at cleaning it than the baby shampoo I currently have been using.

Naobay Body Radiance Lotion (£14 for 250ml)
I received a product from Naobay before in a Glossybox and I actually was pleasantly surprised, this body lotion has a gorgeous  fresh/citrus scent to it and absorbs lovely into the skin.

Caudalie Vinoperfect SPF15 Day Perfecting Fluid (£38 for 40ml)
Admittedly I wasn't too excited about this product, having used many perfecting creams/fluids before and not being over impressed by any of them meant I wasn't expecting much more from this. But after giving it a try I was more than impressed, this perfecting fluid left my skin amazingly soft and even. It helped even out any redness making it look less prominent.

OPI Nail Lacquer - The Brazil Collection in SAmba-dy Loves Purple (£11.95)
This mini OPI nail polish is so cute! Its a gorgeous pink/purple shade with fine glitter in it. I believe the shade is called Samba-dy Loves Purple and is a liquid sand polish. As soon as I get a chance to this will definitely be going on my fingers and toes.

The Balm cheek and lip cream in pie (£26)
I've always wanted to try something from the Balm after hearing many good things about it but never have actually had the chance before so receiving this cheek/lip cream is super exciting. The colour is gorgeous and couldn't but test it out straight away on the lips, hence the finger marks in the photo (sorry guys!). It's not the most moisturising cream products seeing as it is aimed for the cheeks as well so a lip balm before applying on the lips is a must, however the bright pink colour is lovely on both the lips and cheeks!

This flip flop keyring is such a cute extra!

Glossybox June 2014

Another month and another disappointing Glossybox. These past couple of months have been rubbish for Glossybox, there have been some really good products in each months Glossybox but I seem to not be getting any of them. It's a real shame as I used to love Glossybox but ever since they increased their price I feel as though it has got worse. I'm seriously considering cancelling my Glossybox and switching to Birchbox  as their boxes seem to be getting better and better.

Glossybox June 2014 (£10 per month plus £3.25 p+p)

So Susan Cosmetics Concealer Quad (£17)
I'm on the fence about this concealer quad whilst its an easy compact concealer quad, the concealer is just a bit blah. It's not the creamiest of concealers and doesn't blend very well into the skin. Where it's such a dry concealer it sort of goes patchy on the skin. Whilst the colours might be spot on for some people, I'm  in between the two middle colours and it seems to much of a hassle to mix the two together.

Embelleze Vovex Brazilian Keratin (£24.99 for 1kg)
This product seemed like such an interesting product at first, I love a good hair mask and know how good keratin is for your hair and can't wait to give this hair mask a try. Until I noticed that it said free sample of the side of the packaging, sorry Glossybox but that ruined it for me. Why am I paying to receive stuff I could get for free. Never less this is a good size sample and still am excited to give this product a try.

nailgirls 3-in-1 base/top coat & nail strengthener (£13.50)
Annoyingly I brought a new top coat the other day but its always handy to have one spare. I don't think I have ever tried anything from this brand neither heard much about it but am excited to give it a try as I'm always on the hunt for that holy grail top coat to keep my polish long lasting and chip free.

Roger&Gallet Fleur de Figuier Eau Fraiche Fragrance (£16 for 30ml)
I don't really have much to say about these product. Its a good sample size for a fragrance sample but the scent isn't that appealing, I will definitely be using this product but more to use it up rather than enjoy using it.

Teeez Trend Cosmetics Beautiful Flat Stiff Brush (€19)
My favourite product of the box and definitely what has made the box worth while. I love the packaging of this brush, its so wild and crazy in a good way and the rose gold hardware on the brush makes it extra special. The brush itself is lovely and soft, it is also a lovely size brush perfect for applying eye shadow.

Do any of you recommend Birchbox?

Where Have I Been?/Summer Mission

Hey Guys, sorry I've been quiet for the past three weeks and haven't been able to write a blog post, it killed me not having the time to sit down and write one. Instead I've been super busy and a little bit stressed as it was my final couple weeks of college before the summer and needed to meet those dreaded deadlines for all my theory work to be handed in as well as rehearsing and performing my final show of year 1! Not only did I have all the college work to finish I also was busy taking my theory test and having driving lessons as my practical driving test is in less than three weeks! That's scary stuff. I've then been ill for the past week and didn't really feel up to writing a blog post as I just felt a bit blah. It's been a crazy couple of weeks but I'm on summer break now so there is no excuses, I will have a lot more time to dedicate to my blog as I've got plenty of free time now as I don't need to worry about college till September time.

I've decided to spend this summer making it a productive one. I have to start applying to Uni in October time (OMG where has time gone?) and of course need to start preparing for the auditions, you want to stand out in a good way therefore I want to make this summer a preparation time of stretching and working out to get in the best shape possible. Since starting college last year I've let my diet slip a bit, eating a lot more junk food as its convenient when I'm on the go. This summer  I want to change that. Why am I writing about this you ask? I want to bring you along with me and I plan on sharing stretching/yoga workouts as well as healthy recipe ideas with you guys. I don't necessarily want to lose weight as that isn't my intention at all but instead I want to tone up and make my muscles stronger as well as becoming more flexible. I want to eat healthier to improve my overall well being of my body. I hope you want to follow along as well and we can make this our healthiest summer yet!

Lots of Love
