Birchbox August 2014

I've been slacking a bit on the blog front recently and I can only apologise for that. Time seems to be flying by this summer and I just haven't had the time to sit down and share a post with you guys, even though that's no excuse and I apologise.  Today I bring you what was inside my Birchbox this month. This months theme is Away We Go, whilst isn't my favourite Birchbox (the last two boxes were aaamazing!) I will definitely use everything in there, even if the holiday based theme does make me depressed at the fact that I'm not going away anywhere this year and it officially becoming Autumn in the UK. Raining on the summer bank holiday, not cool.

Birchbox August 2014 (£10 per month plus £2.95 p+p)

Nude ProGenius Omega Treatment Oil (£58 for 30ml)
The first item I received is the Nude's ProGenius Treatment Oil. This oil claims to increase the skin's natural radiance and contains Omega 3,6,7 &9. I didn't even know Omega 7 existed?!? This oil is gorgeous, it leaves my skin ridiculously smooth. At £58 a pop though I don't think I'll be purchasing any time soon.

Vasanti Brightenup! Enzymatic Face Rejuvenator (£26)
I rarely get excited about skin care any more especially cleansers so I wasn't overjoyed with this exfoliating cleanser but it will put it to good use, the small size is perfect for taking with me if I go away for a few days and that is what the August box is about.

Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect (£20)
Suffering from dry ends it's always a pleasure to receive any sort of conditioning treatment in a beauty box, this Prep & Protect Leave-In Conditioning Spray by Number 4 is just what I needed. It smells absolutely gorgeous! Whilst it's not quite as good as my trusty It's a 10, it definitely works at keeping my hair soft and smooth.

Supergoop! Daily Correct SPF 35 CC Cream (£32)
I don't think I've actually jumped on the CC cream band wagon yet and tried one. These little samples of CC cream with SPF 35 are by Supergoop and I'm actually excited to use this, just waiting on a good skin day first.

Chella Highlighter Pencil (£15.95)
By far my favourite item in the box this month. This highlight pencil by Chella is truly gorgeous, it is super creamy and applies smoothly to the skin. My only worry is it's quite thick and super pigmented so may look at little OTT on the cheekbones but I shall have a play and I'm sure I'll be able to make it work.

The Proposal by Tasmina Perry (£7.99)
I'm not a big fan of books tbh, so I'll pass this onto someone else but I love the idea of including a little sample of book to try it before you buy. You may not have even given this book a second glance otherwise.

What did you receive in this month's Birchbox?
Have a great day!

July Favourites 2014

How is it already August and how on earth have I had 2 out of the 3 months of my summer already? I feel as though this year has gone so quick. Only 4 more months till Christmas ;)  I don't have many favourites this month but the ones I do have are definitely good ones.

I ordered this brush as part of a set of 10 from Amazon for £10.99 for the whole set including free next day delivery! I'm not sure whether these are a specific brand or not but by golly gosh these are amazing. My favourite brush is the flat top kabuki. The brush blends my foundation into my skin flawlessly and is definitely comparable to my real techniques expert face brush.

I received this blush in the Latest in Beauty Glamour Box and it has definitely been my go to blush this month. the gorgeous nude shade is not over the top and blends seamlessly into the skin leaving a lovely natural flush of colour. The blush is so tiny and compact its great to pop in your handbag for any touch ups throughout the road.

Although this mascara takes a while to get used to due to its humongous brush, it's probably one of my all time favourite mascaras. The big brush gives my lashes so much length and volume and doesn't clump.

I got this perfume dead cheap in a gift set after Christmas in the sales, I think I paid about £11, such a bargin! Although I've loved it since then I've just only found myself reaching for it as my every day fragrance. I'm not a big fan of the bottle, I find the gold face a bit tacky to be honest but after receiving a sample of the perfume once I fell in love with the scent and had to have it.

A rediscovery that I have fell back in love with, this lip butter from Revlon is in the shade juicy papaya. It's a gorgeous pale orange, it kind of reminds me of lipstick version of the bleached neons collection my Maybelline. The swatch of this colour does not do it any justice. It truly is a beautiful shade, plus being a lip butter it's super creamy and  moisturising.

I'm a bit slow jumping on the hair bow band wagon but I've being loving this floral hair tie from New Look, its great at jazzing up any ponytail.

What have you being loving this month?
