Glossybox September 2014

Glossybox have definitely redeemed themselves this month. Glossybox have definitely been very hit and miss these past couple of months, but this months box is a good one. I mean look at that box! The design this month is gorgeous. The September Glossybox is a collaboration with Karen Miller and is based on the London skyline.

Glossybox September 2014 (£10 per month plus £3.25 p+p)

SkinPep Brightening Enzyme and Acid Peel (£89.99 for 180ml) & SkinPep Dark Circle Eraser (£44.99 for 15ml)
Whilst I'm not a big fan of sample sachets these are surprisingly generous. Suffering from pretty bad dark circles anything that claims to erase them is a winner in my book. I have also never experienced a facial peel before so this Enzyme & Acid Peel is going to be fun to try out, at £90 for the full size though I don't think I will be ever purchasing it.

ModelCo More Brows Fibre Gel (£9)
ModelCo's dupe for the Gimme Brow, I haven't been able to try the Gimme Brow yet so receiving this brow fibre gel by ModelCo is super exciting, brows are a big part of my make up routine so can't wait to give this a go. The shade I received was medium/dark.

L'Oreal Professionnel Mythic Oil Masque (£15.50 for 200ml, available at selected salons)
I love a good hair mask and this one by L'Oreal Professionnel is a super generous size and claims to replenish the hair leaving it super soft and glossy, it also smells lovely!

Vichy Normaderm Night Detox (£15.50 for 40ml) Vichy Normaderm Hydrating Care (£12 for 50ml)
My favourites products in this months box by far! I love Vichy's skincare and I'm stuck in a predicament of what moisturise to use on a daily basis at the moment and this Vichy Normaderm range has sorted this right out, I especially love the night cream, I've already planned to purchase the full size when pay day comes around.

Nails inc Westminster Bridge Matte Top Coat (£12)
If I didn't already own a matte top coat by Essie I would be excited by this but its good to have a back up I suppose. I love nails inc so I'm sure this will be a great polish.

Glossybox have released a sneak peak of next months box, the theme of the October box is Pop Art based on Andy Warhol. Every subscriber will receive a full size mask from NUXE worth £19.50.

What did you think of this months box?

Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

Today I'm bringing you the Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award tag, I was nominated by the lovely Courtney from A Little Lippy Goes a Long Way. Thank you so much for the nomination!

The Rules:
1. Thank the blogger who nominated you, make sure you leave a link back to their site so they can get the recognition they deserve
2. Make sure you put the award logo on your blog.
3. Answer the ten questions you have been given.
4. Create ten new questions for your nominees to answer
5. Nominate ten fellow bloggers

1. Would you rather use only one eyeshadow colour or one lip colour for the rest of your life?
I definitely would stick with one eye shadow colour, I'm such a bore when it comes to eyeshadow where as I wear a different lip colour every day, it can drastically change any look. Product wise I'd stick to a nice champagne lid colour, that will look great with any lip colour and you can always jazz your eyes up with some liner and falsies.
2. What was the first makeup item you ever owned?
I can't actually remember, is that bad? It was most likely going to be some pink lip gloss or a silver sparkly eyeshadow of some sort, the tragic make-up collection of an 11 year old.
3. If you could only buy from one makeup brand, which brand would you choose?
Why are these questions so hard?!? I'm probably going to stick to a very stereotypical brand and go with MAC. Simply because they do lovely blushers, primers, lipsticks, concealers, foundations, lashes, brushes and eyeshadows (did I mention I love MAC?) You don't need much more really.
4. Which makeup brand do you think has the best packaging?
I'm probably going to say YSL for this question simply because their lipsticks have the most beautiful packaging ever.
5. What is the one product you’d grab if your house was on fire?
Concealer, concealer, concealer to hid any flaws. My current favourite concealer is the Maybelline Age Rewind if any of you were wondering.
6. What is your signature scent?
To be honest I don't really have one, I switch up my perfume every day! Anything sweet and floral though. I'm currently loving the Marc Jacobs Daisy Dream.
7. Who’s your favourite beauty vlogger?
Shannon Harris aka Shaaanxo. Her tutorials are flawless!
8. Which product is at the top of your wishlist?
I'm currently trying to create and fill a MAC eyeshadow palette, so eyeshadows are the top of my list at the moment. Colours on my wishlist include Wood Winked, Coppering, Cranberry, Satin Taupe and Honey Lust.
9. What type of product do you buy the most of?
Concealer and liquid liner definitely, I get through this stuff like crazy!
10. What’s the beauty rule you preach, but never actually practice?
Don't squeeze your spots! Every time a friend mentions a spot I'm always telling them to not touch it or squeeze it, yet I just cant resist the urge to squeeze mine and touch them. I know I really shouldn't but I just can't help it!
I nominate:

My question for you are:

1. Are you a lip gloss or lipstick kind of gal?

2. If you could only use four make up products for the rest of your life, what products would you pick and why?

3.  Dewy skin or matte skin?

4.What is one product you have way too many of but insist on buying more?

5. Do you prefer wearing trousers or skirts?

6. What is your holy grail skincare item?

7. On an average day how long does it take for you to get ready in the morning?

8. Favourite fragrance?

9.  Top five fashion staples?

10. What is your number one beauty tip that you swear by?

Have fun girls, I cant wait to read your answers!

Products I Regret Buying

I think that this is a blog post I really don't want to write simply because I'm in denial about not loving a product I've brought. Nothing is worse than spending money on a product especially when it's high end and end up not liking it. The products I'm mentioning today aren't exactly awful products, I just find myself not reaching from them regularly enough to enjoy.

Stila Lip Glazes
I got this Stila Lip Glaze set about a year or so ago and they are just so meh. Whilst some of the colours are gorgeous, they are just gloopy and sticky that they just feel rather horrible on the lips. Occasionally I reach for these but usually always pick another gloss over these, I also hate the application of these glosses, the twist up pen never works for me, I either have too much product or not enough.

Models Own HyperGel polish
The colour of these Models Own polishes are gorgeous but the formula is horrible, the polish literally lasts about half a day before chipping or peeling off my nails, considering this is a 'Gel' formula polish its pretty disappointing.

E.L.F Studio Lipstick in Nicely Nude
Another product where I love the colour just not the formula! This lipstick applies very streaky and takes a lot of blending with my finger to look nice on the lips. You can't expect much for a few quid but I'd rather spend a bit more money on a MAC lipstick or something as good.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow in Dark Brown
I've only just got this today and I already dislike it. After spending ages researching shades I finally settled on Dark Brown, its way too dark for me, boo! I'm kind of disappointed in the shade range available in the UK as there is only really Blonde or Dark Brown with nothing in-between for us medium shade girls. I'm on the fence about now ordering Blonde as I feel as though it will be too light for my brows. All is not lost though as I will save this for my freelance kit as I'm hoping to start building this up soon.

Benefit High Beam
Although I love a good highlighter and I  love this highlighter, the MeMeMe dupe is even better than the real thing and at only £5.50 its much cheaper than the £19.50 for High Beam. This isn't a bad product and if you are a fan of benefit I recommend this if you are looking to splurge.

MAC Mineralize Blush in Gentle
I don't understand why I don't use this blusher. Its absolutely gorgeous, I just never seem to reach for it. I've had it for a good few years and haven't even made a dent in it yet.

Rimmel Kate Moss Lipstick in 03
Looking at swatches only this looked such a gorgeous colour but it just looks like dodgy foundation lips on me. I've kept it to use a base colour but I just wish I could pull of this sort of nude on its own.

Benefit They're Real Push Up Liner
Okay I didn't exactly buy this product it was a free sample but I just hate this, now I know hate is a strong word but I cant even get a line out of this eyeliner let alone a decent line, its just clumps up and creates on big smudge on my lid. If you have any tips on applying this do let me know.

Urban Decay Lipstick in Streak
I want to love this lipstick but I just don't. It just is quite a dry lipstick so is difficult to apply, it just becomes all streaky on my lips and just doesn't look great. It looks good with lip gloss paired over the top but without it just looks awful.

Do you love any of these products?
What products do you regret buying?

Sephora Haul

So I kind have may have made a little order on Sephora, ok ok it was a rather big order but we aren't here to judge. When I found out Sephora now ships to the UK I couldn't help but splurge a little and of course I had to share what I brought with you guys. Seeing as you cant get Tarte in the UK (well I know you can but lets face it, the product range on QVC is somewhat small) I mainly purchased Tarte products along with a rather beautiful Marc Jacobs product. If you guys want to see anything in more detail or any swatches just let me know.

Tarte Makin' Waves Summer Collection ($75)
Tarte Amazonian Clay 12-Hour Full Coverage Foundation in the shade Fair-Light Honey ($38)
Tarte Limited Edition Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette V1 ($38)
Sephora Favourites Give Me Some Lip ($25)
Marc Jacobs Lovemarc Lip Gel in Have We Met? ($30)
Tarte Limited Edition Rainforest After Dark Coloured Clay Eye & Cheek Palette ($38)
