The new Nars sets for spring are now available at Space NK and I couldn't help but pick up this dinky little palette that contains everything you need for your cheeks and lips. This palm sized palette contains three blushersas well as Nars' famous bronzer and highlighter and a mini lip gloss. As well as a handy mirror on the inside of this palette, the lid is also a mirror making it great for touch ups on the go. This palette is so cute and hopefully will become my go to palette especially for travelling as it is a perfect size.

-  Enrapture ( pink terracotta)
- Enthralled ( toasted rose with shimmer)
- Roman Holiday (pastel with a hint of pink)

Benefit Roller Lash Mascara First Impression

I managed to pick up the free sample of the new Benefit Roller Lash mascara in this months Elle magazine before its general release next month. There may be some still around as I only picked this up a few days ago and there was plenty at my local Tesco's, so hurry down and be one of the first to try Benefits new mascara. This new mascara by Benefit focuses on curling and lifting your lashes mimicking the idea of hair rollers (hence the name).  The brush is quite a small plastic brush curved in shape covered in plastic bristles in various sizes. They bristles also contain hooks at the bottom which claimed to hook and lift the lashes upwards helping create the curled effect on your lashes.
On first impression I wasn't sure about this mascara as it already seems quite thick, making me think it would be clumpy and wouldn't last very long as it might dry out too much too quickly. However after applying this mascara that didn't seem to matter as it certainly didn't clump at all. The mascara certainly lives up to its claim to curl and lift your lashes as you can tell from the photo, there is certainly a difference between my natural lashes and the lashes with the mascara on. Usually I find with mascaras that promise curled lashes, whilst they deliver at first, they tend to drop throughout the day, however after testing this out all day at work by the time I got home around 7 hours after applying it my lashes looked the exact same as when I applied it, a big winner in my book. Often with mascaras they tend to smudge on my eyelid and below my bottom lash line but luckily I did not experience this with this mascara.

Will I buy this mascara when it comes out?
Most certainly yes! I've been in a bit of mascara rut recently not really liking any of the mascaras I've been using so I'm glad to have finally found a mascara I love. This mascara certainly lived up to its claims and made my lashes look super long. The jet black colour also allows me to get away with just wearing mascara on my eyes, something I tend to avoid as I find the lack of colour to my eyes tends to make them sink into my face and not stand out.  I can't wait to purchase the mascara next month.

Birchbox February 2015

With Valentines day being just round the corner Birchbox are focusing on love and products you'll love all month round. Plus every subscriber is guaranteed to receive two make up products this month.  I honestly love this months box, with a wide range of products this has great variety that I'm sure everyone will love. I'm in love with the post cards that you get with this months box as well, they are so pretty. I can't wait to find a use for them.

Birchbox February 2015 (£10 per month plus £2.95 p+p)

Caudalie Vinoperfect Radiance Serum (£45 for 30ml)
This serum claims to leave your skin radiant and glowing. I've tried a few Caudalie products in the past and been rather impressed so I'm hoping it will live up to its expectations.

Liz Earle Botanical Shine Shampoo (£10 for 200ml)
I never realised that Liz Earle did haircare, I love the hot cloth cleanser so can't wait to try this Botanical Shine Shampoo. This shampoo contains Vitamin E, fruit extracts and Shea butter claiming to leave your hair shiny and silky smooth.

T London Darjeeling Hand Wash (£18)
I strangely love the smell of this hand wash, it smells fresh and with a hint of citrus. I'm a bit of freak when in comes to washing my hands so I love getting a new hand wash to test out.

Cynthia Rowley Eyeliner in Black (£11)
I was really hoping for the Cindy-Lou Manizer by theBalm after seeing a sneak peek into what's in the box this month instead I received the Stainiac in Beauty Queen. This lip and cheek stain is a weird jelly consistency which is quite hard to get used to, it is a similar consistency to the Revlon ColourStay Moisture Stains.
The second make up item I received this month is the Cynthia Rowley eyeliner in black. Usually I'm disappointed when I receive eyeliners but likely I was in the need for a new liner. On first impressions I already love this liner, the simple black packaging with gold polka dots is gorgeous and it certainly is pigmented and creamy, fingers crossed this will be my new go to liner.

The Chia Co Oats + Chia (£4.95 for a pack of 5)
I love the food extras Birchbox put in the box, it really makes it stand out amongst other boxes. This Oats and Chia mix from The Chia Co look like a right treat. I received the Mixed Berry flavour in my box but I am aware of a few other flavours that some may receive. Containing wholegrain oats, chia, fruit and coconut oil, I can't wait to give this healthy breakfast a go.

Birchbox also released a sneak peek into next months box. Every subscriber will receive a product from Benefit, what's even better is that you get to choose your sample from the selection.

What did you receive in this months Birchbox?

Top Products For Super Soft Lips

Dry, chapped  lips are an unwelcomed thing that comes with winter and whilst they aren't always avoidable, you certainly can take certain steps to prevent them. However you should always take care of your lips all year round as these steps can leave you with healthy, full, plump lips; letting you channel your inner Kylie Jenner.

Drink plenty of water - Not only is drinking water good for you but it keeps your skin soft and healthy including your lips. A dehydrated body = dehydrated lips, so drink up!

Exfoliate, Exfoliate, Exfoliate! - Dry skin can build up on your lips so you need to slough it away in order for them to be smooth. Personally I love to use a Lush Lip Scrub, my favourite is the Mint Julips one, it tastes like mint chocolate chips! If lip scrubs aren't your thing or out of your price range another great product to use is a toothbrush. With a damp toothbrush gently brush the bristles over your lips for a quick exfoliation.

Moisturise - Following up with a lip balm is a must however most only act as a barrier at keeping moisture in. Whilst these are great throughout the day you need something more hardcore throughout the night. My favourite for the day time are the Maybelline Baby Lips Electro in Berry Bomb and the Figs and Rouge Lip Balm in Cherry Blossom, these both have tints to them that are great for the day time as they add some colour to your lips. At night time I like to use something much thicker and moisturising to let it do its job; I either like to use the Lipglam Natural Lanolin Lip Balm or Coconut Oil.

What are your top tips/products for soft lips?
