Bonjour Rayures | Weekend in France

I was lucky enough to spend the weekend in France with my family. We stayed in a gorgeous little hotel called So-Arts which is about 45 minutes drive away from Bordeaux It was the most beautiful place ever, surrounded by vineyards it really was picturesque, made even better by the hot tub and swimming pool (Of course I made full use of these extras!).  On the Monday before flying back we discovered a little town called Saint Emilion, it was the most picturesque town you could imagine with a real rustic feel to the town and as like a lot of the Bordeaux area was surrounded by pretty vineyards. Saint Emilion is  famous for its fine wines and macaroons, being not much of a drinker I skipped the first part and went straight for the macaroons (which btw were the most divine things ever, they were so soft they just melted in your mouth). We then went back to Bordeaux to fly home but of course had to stop by Sephora first.

Latest in Beauty Glamour Edit 2014

When Glamour announced their new box collaboration with Latest in Beauty I couldn't help but order it. The box cost £16.95 including p+p and contains 9 products with the contents worth over £86, such good value for money if you ask me!
Latest In Beauty- The Glamour Beauty Edit 2014 (£16.95)

Rimmel London Sun Shimmer Instant Tan BB Skin Perfector in Medium Matte (£6.99)
The first product I received in the box was the Rimmel London Instant Tan BB Skin Perfector in the shade Medium Matte, it is an instant tanner that claims to last 24 hours. This tan gives a nice golden colour that applies lovely using a mitt without going streaky. I haven't been able to test whether it lasts the full 24 hours but it certainly does last a good few hours.

DHC Deep Cleansing Oil (£21.50 for 200ml)
I've been eager to jump on the cleansing oil band wagon for some time now so this DHC deep cleansing oil seems like a great product to try out. The cleansing oil contains Vitamin E and Olive Oil and claims to remove even stubborn waterproof mascara.

Crabtree & Evelyn Nail Lacquer in Apple (£6)
I never actually knew that Crabtree & Evelyn did nail polish so this is a great little discovery. The colour is a gorgeous red shade with a gold shimmer through it.

Magnifibres Brush-On False Lashes (£15.80)
The Magnifibres was the main reason why I purchased this box. Having had this on my wishlist for many months now, I finally took the plunge to buy this box as it worked out such good value for money. I hate the fuss of applying false lashes but love long lashes, so far I'm impressed with this product and its easiness to apply.

Illamasqua Glamore Lipstick in Naked (£18.50)
Err I wish I could love this lipstick, but the colour just looks horrible on me. It is way too orange/brown on my lips and looks like I've got an awful case of foundation lips. Apart from that its an overall nice lipstick, just wish it would suit me.

Toni & Guy Volume Plumping Whip (£7.19)
I'm not a big fan of mousse or any sort of product like that but I'm always on the hunt for more volume in my hair so I think I'm going to give this Volume Plumping Whip by Toni & Guy a go.

Hawaiian Tropic Satin Protection Ultra Radiance Sun Lotion SPF 30 (£13.99 for 200ml)
I love the smell of  Hawaiian Tropic Sun Cream so it's always a plus to have some more as it's a fairly expensive sun cream. Now if only I was going away on holiday somewhere warm :(

Bourjois Cream Blush in Nude Velvet (£7.99)

This blush is the most gorgeous blush ever. The shade is Nude Velvet and applies gorgeously to the skin leaving a velvety soft texture on the skin.

Velvotan the Original Tanning Mitt (£2.99)
The perfect companion to the Rimmel London Instant Tan BB Skin Perfector. The tanning mitt is by Velvotan is in a beautiful purple shade, not that it will stay that shade for long!

Hope you're having a great day!

Glossybox July 2014

While I'm not completely loving every product in this months Glossybox, it has certainly got a few good products and I definitely feel like I've got my moneys worth. This months theme is Stars and Stripes to celebrate 4th July. Can we just appreciate how gorgeous this box is! I love it when Glossybox do their special edition boxes, the boxes themselves are always gorgeous.

Glossybox July 2014 (£10 per month plus £3.25 p+p)

Color Club Nail Polish in Glossy Seal ($8)
Not the prettiest of shades but when I tested it out oh my did it apply beautifully. The polish is fairly thick with a creamy texture was completely opaque after one coat. It also dried in a very impressive time. Although this won't be a heavily used polish due to the colour, when I'm in a hurry and need to apply polish quickly it definitely will be my go to polish. The nail polish is by Colour Club in the shade Glossy Seal and is exclusive to Glossybox, created especially for this box.

ABSOLUTE New York Perfecting Eyeshadow Primer ($4.99)
Not the most exciting product in the box but an eyeshadow primer is must for any make up look so I'm excited to give this a try. The primer is oil free and claims to even skin tone around the eye and prevent eyeshadow creasing.

New York Color High Definition Felt Tip Liner (£2.99)
After seeing a few other boxes I'm really disappointed that I got this liquid liner instead of the Tarte mascara! I'm such a big fan of the Lights, Camera, Lashes and would have loved a back up. However I can't complain to much as I'm a big fan of liquid eyeliner and use it most days so it is always handy to get another one.

Carmex Lip Balm (£2.69 for 7g)
This lip balm couldn't have arrived at a better time, I've just run out of my current lip balm that I use at night time. First impression is that it is not as creamy as the Nivea one I was using but still very moisturising and the smell is gorgeous.

Bellapierre Cosmetics Ltd Mineral Lipstick in Catwalk (£20)
Saving the best product for last! My favourite product of the box and possibly one of my favourite lipsticks of all time! My god this colour is gorgeous, the photo doesn't it do it enough justice. This is seriously such a beautiful nude pink and is definitely my new favourite lipstick. The lipstick is moisturising, creamy and has great colour pay off.

What do you think of Glossybox this month?
Hope everyone is having a wonderful day

Birchbox July 2014

Birchbox has done it again for me this month. This has only been my second month of subscribing to Birchbox but I have been blown away by two amazing boxes. The theme for this month's box is Sun, Sea & Sand.

Birchbox July 2014 (£10 per month plus £2.95 p+p)

Benefit the Porefessional (£24.50)
The product I was most excited about this month! This primer truly is my all time favourite primer, a definite holy grail product so when I received it in my box this month I couldn't help but be instantly won over by the box.

Models Own Nail Polish in Rocket (£5)
Another great product as I'm a fan of models own polishes. The shade I received is Rocket and is part of the Firework collection. This polish looks gorgeous layered over black polish!

Whish Three Wishes Lavender Body Butter (£14.50 for 150ml)
I was unsure of this product at first, I must admit I am not a fan of lavender scents at all so was very sceptical that this wouldn't smell nice however I was wrong. The scent of this body butter is gorgeous, the lavender scent is not over powering at all, its a rather subtle scent. The body butter contains Shea butter which not only smells divine but leaves the skin feeling really soft.

Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream (£20 for 15ml)
I suffer from terrible dark circles under my eyes and am constantly looking for that holy grail eye cream to help me out so whenever I receive a new eye cream I have high hopes for it. I've only been using this for a couple of days so haven't seen any real improvements but it's left my eye area super soft.

LAQA & Co. Sheer Lip Lube Pencil in Menatour (£14)
This has got to be one of the most gorgeous purple shades I have ever set eyes on. Being a bit unsure of whether I'm able to pull of such an out there colour I was pleasantly surprised to find that not only did it look gorgeous in the tube but it looked gorgeous on the lips as well. This lip crayon is my new go to colour for edging up any make up look.  The minty smell of the crayon is also lovely.

This 4 sided  file is such a cute little extra in this month's box. I love these for those times you don't have time to paint your nails but want your nails to look nice, I actually needed a new one as mine was getting a bit worn out so this was perfect timing.

What did you think of this months Birchbox?

Life in Pictures June 2014

Hey Guys, I thought I'd share with you a few pictures of what I've been up to for the past couple of weeks. The beginning of June saw me finishing my first year at college performing in my final show of the college year! It's crazy how quick my first year has gone and to think I've only got another year left before venturing off into the big wide world by myself, eeek. The next few weeks saw me learning to drive and hanging out with friends, as you can tell by the picture I passed my driving test only just under two months since turning 17! After countless rehearsals I finally I had the final performance of a dance piece in the competition rock challenge, not sure if any of you guys have heard of it before. I hope you guys have had a great month and hope July brings even more fun for all of us.
